Novak Djokovic takes on talented compatriot Viktor Troicki in round two of the Cincinnati Masters.
Djokovic may have slipped down a place to number three in the rankings but the Serb has reason to be optimistic after a strong week in Toronto. Djokovic shrugged off the disappointment of not making the Wimbledon final last month by making the semis of the Rogers Cup. He had his chances to defeat Roger Federer in the last four too despite never coming close to his best tennis.
He has enjoyed good form in Cincinnati over the past couple of years, making the final each time, being denied by Federer (2009) and Andy Murray (2008).
Troicki was inside the top 25 this time last year but has slipped down to 47 after an inconsistent 2010. His Toronto results summed up his year so far, a brilliant win over Marin Cilic followed by a second round defeat to Philipp Kohlschreiber.
He looked good during his 7-5, 6-1 win over Radek Stepanek here but could easily throw a complete mare today.
Djokovic has won three of his four matches against Troicki edging their last encounter in Dubai earlier this year, 3-6, 6-4, 6-2.
