Federer plays the feature match on centre court in the evening session against big hitting Uzbek Denis Istomin. The Swiss is defending his title this week and will have been buoyed by his run to the final in Toronto last week.
Nadal begins against American favourite Taylor Dent, a very popular player with the fans with his all-action game style. Dent has done incredibly well to make it back to this level after a number of career-threatening injuries but his style matches up perfectly for Nadal.
Andy Murray also gets his campaign underway but he will not be able to afford any concentration lapses against the dangerous Jeremy Chardy while Robin Soderling takes on Lleyton Hewitt in the evening session in one of the most hotly anticipated matches of Wednesday's play.
